Westerhuis
A large portion of the Westerhuis hosts Marcel Wanders, the MOOOI brand store and other small and bigger creative companies specialising in fashion and public relations.
Since our redevelopment of the building in 2008, this former crafts school building, with a surface area of 5.500m2, has given undeniable impulse to the historic area of the Jordaan neighbourhood. Devoted to the flourishing creative industry of Amsterdam, a majority of the spaces found at this location have been leased to a host of businesses including boutique art and design studios, architecture firms and digital advertising companies, amongst others.
Gallery
Since 2016, Marcel Wanders has a gallery, as a means to highlight a body of work by Marcel that finds itself outside of the traditional design boundaries. What started as a small venue for local presentations has quickly evolved into a dedicated black cube that showcases limited Personal Editions and video art works. Over time, local and international art collectors, museum curators and artists have visited and engaged with the work. Everything that is presented here is shown and made available solely through the studio and art galleries.
