Product design | Surface Patterns
Art doesn't always hang on a wall. Sometimes, it is the wall. Within the Illusions collection (2014), stunning wallpaper patterns combine bold, geometric shapes that overlap to create optical illusions on every surface. The “Wall Flower” and “Heart and Tulip” have a trompe l'oeil effect of carved stone but is flat to the touch. “World Heritage” presents a stunning hexagonal tile effect and reveals curiosities within, including bowler hats and playing cards. “Dreams Come True” is a poetic masterpiece that repeats Marcel Wanders' team Mission Statement. “Petit Pappillon” uses embossing techniques and features a butterfly. “Braille Chester” features a diamond pattern of small black dots against a white background – perfect for enlivening the walls of a contemporary home. “Forest Muses” makes a statement by using real flock to add a sense of luxury to walls.
