Marcel Wanders Creates Pop Mirror Collection For Fiam
Amsterdam, April 4th 2017. In collaboration with world-renowned Italian glass furniture FIAM, Marcel Wanders presents ‘Pop’, an innovative collection of mirrors at Salone del Mobile 2017. Pushing elemental craftsmanship and industrial processes boundaries, Marcel Wanders explores new techniques for mirror glass treatment to create the illusion of a hard surface becoming soft. Part of this collection is the eye-catching ‘Lollipop’, a statement mirror piece of enlarged proportions.
During Salone del Mobile 2017 in Milan, Marcel Wanders will be presenting his unique ability to defy the laws of matter. Exploring the latest skilled techniques for treating mirror glass, Marcel Wanders will share the innovative ‘Pop’ collection of transformed mirrors.
Part of this collection is the eye-catching ‘Lollipop’, a statement mirror piece of enlarged proportions. Its iconic shape is not only memorable but has also built-in storytelling qualities, ‘Lollipop’ gives distinctive character and personality to any living environment. By finding new treatments to work mirror glass, Marcel Wanders has designed hard surface material in a way that gives the illusion of being soft like textile material.
