Marcel Wanders Launches Calliope with Wonderglass
Amsterdam, April 4th 2017. At Instituto dei Ciechi, Marcel Wanders presents ‘Calliope’ a modular chandelier created in collaboration with London-based lighting design company, Wonderglass.
Inspired by Japanese calligraphy, the dynamic chandelier made of blown Venetian glass gracefully creates spatial and versatile light installations when clustered or by itself. As a unique modular chandelier, this adaptable fixture can expand to create full ceiling and room installations. With oblate spheroids shapes and synthetic hair brushes, ‘Calliope’ is a timeless floating illuminating pendant that swings slightly with the wind.
