Art becomes life at Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht, or is it the other way around? This five-star boutique hotel of 122 rooms and 5 suites, is operated by Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Located in the very centre of Amsterdam, once a nondescript public library building, the Andaz Amsterdam has been transformed into a fantastical dream-world. The hotel references the Golden Age, Dutch Delft Blue and the city's vibrant, creative history and economy. A place where old becomes new, history fuses with modern-day living, and luxury beats with the same heart as the city. Oversized welcoming bells, passion red Tulip Chairs, from hell to heaven wallpaper, carpets and walls with ancient nautical maps, a romantic secretive garden, and a mesmerizing Observatorium are some of its memorable icons. The Andaz is enriched with the Bluespoon restaurant and cocktail bar, a gym, spa, library and conferencing facilities. Throughout the hotel, an unprecedented contemporary video art collection can be enjoyed on 50 video screens inducing guests in a continual state of surprise.
